Mr. D.O.G.'s music heals stab wounds  2/1/02

Yo! I am an avid reader of many internet and physical magazines. I also frequently talk to many of the folks that run these publications. So I was genuinely stunned at hearing that a dear friend of mine in South Africa was stabbed today.

After I got passed the grief of knowing that someone did my boy in dirty, I reread the e-mail to notice that he was okay and would be released out the hospital shortly. I also notice that he listened to a well known NW artist, Mr. D.O.G. to get him through his time of pain. Now you know your music "aint no punk," when someone wants to hear it to take their pain away. At any rate, I felt I would share the email with my dedicated readers.

"7 hours ago the Milkdaddy, the owner of this site (AfricasGateway) was stabbed 3 times in an
armed robbery in Cape Town.  His condition is stable in a Cape Town hospital. At approximately 18:00pm the Milkdaddy was in a store in central Cape Town when 8 armed robbers came into the shop with AK 47's.  No one is sure how he was stabbed but the Milkdaddy told me via mobile that he was trying to give up his cash when one of them thoughthe was trying to pull a gun.

He told me that he "is fine" and that "I'm getting through this listening to
36 Mafia and Mr.D.O.G." and said "the show must go on". His condition is stable and will be released from hospital on Thursday.  Until then he has given me the reigns to the site.
