This here is where we set the game
straight. We tell you like it is. Even if you don't wanna hear it. Cuz if
your music stinks, I wouldn't be your homeboy if I told you it was the
bomb. So here it is. Lyrics: ** 1/2 Beats: ** Best Song: I Just Wanna Worst Song: For this young Portland native raised in Seattle this is a cool effort for his 1st release. May I remind you that he did some of his own production as well. If you into those eerie mob beats, they got them by the ton. Lyrics are of a Seattle nature. They would stand out more if they didn't have that common Seattle delivery. Nothing against Seattle rappers, it just that I personally listen for the oddball, the guy with the different spit. In I Just Wanna, Syko, Smoke, & Byrdie let all the ladies know exactly what it is that they just wanna do. Wordz 2 Live By was another choice pick. Here Syko holds his own, & sprinkles knowledge that can be recycled over & over. There were a few questionable tracks and the album needed more of a variety in beats. But like I said, this is his first release. He is a youngster with potential waiting to be harnessed. I look forward to reviewing his next release which I know will show vast improvements.
